The Galley
Creamery & Deli

About us

The Galley was first opened in Ipswich back on 4th July 1994, followed by our Woodbridge restaurant in 2004. In 2021 a nearby shop became vacant on Market Hill, just across the road from The Galley and so The Galley Creamery and Deli was born.

Ice cream

We take pride in crafting all our ice cream, frozen yoghurt, and sorbet right here on the premises, using only the freshest ingredients and local milk. All our products are vegetarian, free of palm oil and artificial flavours or colours. Our sorbets are 100% vegan, along with some of our ice-creams that have plant-based milk alternatives as their base.

Our commitment to quality and freshness means that every scoop we serve is a true taste of the region. We hand-make each batch of ice cream or sorbet with care, ensuring that the flavours are as rich and authentic as the ingredients we source. Whether you’re enjoying one of our classic flavours or something a bit more adventurous (black garlic, Japanese black sesame seed, and charcoal anyone?), we promise an unforgettable experience that showcases the best of what our local area has to offer.
